THE BRICKLIN LEGEND

The Bricklin was a futuristic, sexy, gull-winged car built in the 1970s, named after Malcom Bricklin, a famous American car promoter. The car was made exclusively for the US market but built and financed in Canada.

The Bricklin was the inspiration for the famous DeLorean car in the film Back to the Future. However, it was accompanied by controversy; the Bricklin was a car of the future but a financial disaster for the Canadian province that built it.

About 2,900 cars were built and today an estimated 1,500 still exist. Owners and admirers have created clubs that organize annual Bricklin events.
